- After running on saturday, I had some pain in my left food, so I believe I have to step down on my training schedule. After that, I've been all in all pretty lazy.
- I kept increasing the distance
- ask a great deal of myself (= Require, push myself)
- forced rest time
- to stand sb in good stead = it is beneficitial
- recover promptly = a prompt recovery
- dodgy weather = uncertain weather
- nothing out of the ordinary = "nothing special"

- it's not exactly what I mean as great entertainment but still, better than nothing
